After listening to some screamo stuff, I couldn’t help but wonder, how many of them in 10-20 years time will look like this guy:

That has gotta hurt. Seriously, what runs through peoples minds? I can’t sing & I can’t really play any instruments. But if I make sounds of throwing up into a microphone and try my best to eat it, someone out there is bound to like it!

Which brings me to my next point. People that like screamo. I’ll be honest, a bit of it in the right kinda song can sound cool, but then you get bands that have albums & albums of the stuff. I mean, sure it saves on rehearsal time but why would you want to listen to all of it?

Looking at that guy’s shirt reminds me of a customer I had earlier. Why is it I kinda like cultural African dress sense?

Don’t get me wrong, I think it looks absolutely ridiculous. I think the guy on the left agrees with me. But there’s no denying the idea that it looks comfortable. Once you get past the explosion of colour and interesting choice of headgear, you’re left with what is essentially a glorified bedsheet.

The guy I served earlier had a green one and I’ll be honest, he looked like an out-of-place Christmas tree. A very comfortable spruce, but still, I just wanted to layer him with tinsel and put a star on his head.

One last point on the Dashiki (that’s what those robes are called, see – educational blog this, you’re learning things ), if you are going to wear one, don’t wear it with black shoes. You’ve broken enough fashion boundaries by leaving the house in your ancestor’s pyjamas, no need to wear his shoes too.

See now eskimos, there’s a culture that knows how to dress!

Credit Cards…

So I’m at work today and some ‘Aussie’ geezer trys to pay with American Express and I tell the man politley that we don’t accept American Express. So he hands me a virgin credit card. However this credit card isn’t chip and pin compatible so again, we cant accept it. After telling him that none of his 5 cards will work he starts to get angry. In the end his Brittish son in law had to pay up. However the aussie then went downstairs and complained to my manager about how ’stupid’ her staff are because apparently I…yes me…I was the one being awkwad…

Now I’m not being funny or anything but hes the stupid aussie with duff cards that wont work. So how am I the inconvinience?

Now I know not EVERYONE is a mathematician. But some people just are blow-my-mind retarded. I guess I should explain…
For those of you who don’t know, I work in Maplin Electronics. Now a fella comes in today looking to buy some cable ties. Fair enough. He said it needs to go around a cable that he measured to be 20mm across. Fair enough. When I started to question his intellect was when he said he also measured the height and that was also 20mm… Erm, good one clever clogs, it’s a round cable.

So to test him I asked “Did you remember to measure the diagonal?” (obviously, the same as any other given measurement across a circle) and he said “Oh god I forgot!” /facepalm.

Then he said it needs to go across it left & right and up & down to so it needs to be 2×20=40mm right? I was like no, dummy. It needs to go around the cable. Oh forget it, take this. *Hands a pack of cable ties*
